Ukraine in desperate need of help

March 10, 2022

The man-made catastrophe in Ukraine continues. Hundreds of thousands of refugees, mainly women and children, are fleeing from the cruelties of war.

Most of our Ukrainian colleagues and friends have left Kharkiv and moved west. We have been supporting them as best as we can during their unimaginable struggles. At the moment, they are relatively safe but are heavily affected and traumatized by what they have had to endure; being on the road for days and searching for a safe shelter for themselves and their families.

Adonis has established a reception center in Krakow, Poland for those who manage to cross the border. Since this Monday, we have a team headed by our COO, Sigrid Kviteberg, in place there to take care of people as they arrive. We are also trying to the best of our abilities to assist those of our colleagues who remain inside Ukraine, not able or willing to leave their country. At least, not yet.

We continue to receive inquiries from concerned friends and business partners on a daily basis regarding what avenues are available to support Adonis and our Ukrainian friends and families. For this, we are grateful. However, the Adonis team is a tiny fraction of the number of refugees passing through the borders and escaping the war. Most of them are less fortunate than our Adonis colleagues with no financial support or anyone waiting for them at the border. Not to mention those stuck inside the country with a next to nil possibility of escaping the horrors caused by bombs, the inability to heat food, and even struggling to find water supplies.

Call to action: Please donate!
To help the Ukrainian people, we encourage all of our colleagues around the business world, and privately, to donate to a humanitarian organization or NGO of your choice. Your donation will help these organizations obtain the resources they need to provide for the less fortunate refugees with the assistance they deserve, whether it be inside the country or as they are crossing the borders.
We know and greatly appreciate that many of you have already done this. But we continue to receive reports indicating that the needs are endless. Let’s all unite and lift together to support the suffering people of Ukraine.
