New cruise ship AIDAcosma starts on her first voyage

On Saturday evening, February 26, 2022, AIDA Cruises welcomed the first guests to the premiere voyage of AIDAcosma in Hamburg. The seven-day cruise will sail from Hamburg to Southampton and on to Cherbourg in France. Further stops are Zeebrugge and Rotterdam before the ship moors again in Hamburg on March 5, 2022. The newbuilding from AIDA Cruises, which will be powered by low-emission liquefied natural gas currently the lowest-emission fossil fuel in the shipping industry – had already reached the Hanseatic city for the first time on the afternoon of February 25, 2022.
With AIDAcosma, one of the most innovative cruise ships with outstanding experiences sets sail. Guests can expect a huge variety of offerings. The beautiful new Ocean Deck extends over four decks and offers an all-round panoramic view of the sea and an infinity pool at the stern of the ship. Also on board is the new Fun Park with a large indoor playground and the new bouldering wall for plenty of variety.
The gourmet variety on board has also been expanded once again: The new specialty restaurant Beach House serves summery, light delicacies. The Brauhaus scores with an outdoor grill with a magnificent sea view and the specialty restaurant Mamma Mia offers homemade pasta and fresh Italian cuisine with on-site service. In addition, AIDAcosma impresses with features that are also popular on AIDAnova, such as the Beach Club, the Theatrium with its 360° stage, the TV studio and the spacious Body & Soul Organic Spa. Culinary guests are spoiled in 17 restaurants and 23 bars and cafés.
AIDAcosma will visit the Hanseatic city a total of six times. The highlight will be the christening ceremony on April 9, 2022, when the exceptional athlete Kristina Vogel will ceremoniously christen the new ship in Hamburg. Guests on the 14-day christening voyage from April 9 to 23, 2022, from Hamburg to Palma can experience this special event on board. Among other places, southern England, Lisbon, Málaga and Barcelona invite guests to discovery tours ashore.
From April 23 to October 15, 2022, AIDAcosma will offer voyages from Palma and Barcelona. The one-week highlight itinerary “Mediterranean Treasures” also includes Florence, Rome and Corsica. In the fall, she sets course for her sunny winter home of Dubai.
