Gasum and Yara Suomi agree on 24/7 energy market services partnership

Gasum and the Finnish fertilizer producer Yara Suomi have agreed on a comprehensive energy market services partnership, in which Gasum will be responsible for Yara’s 24/7 operations on the power market, including electricity procurement and sales, energy balance management, metering, and distribution system operator services. The partnership will begin on February 1, 2022.
Gasum’s Energy Market Services helps to navigate the energy market
Gasum Energy Market Services helps its clients to successfully navigate the energy market. The partnership agreement with Yara Suomi contains several services, including the physical Nord Pool Brokerage Service, Electricity Balance Management, 24/7 Control Room Services, Metering and DSO Services. All in all, the agreement will allow Yara Suomi to anticipate and manage risks following the changing situation on the energy market.
“We are proud to be able to provide comprehensive energy market services to Yara Suomi. The partnership is a prime example of our holistic Energy Market Services. The energy market is open 24/7, so it is no surprise that it can be challenging for companies to keep up as their core business is something completely different. But we are glad to offer our expertise to our clients,” says Tommy Mattila, Vice President, Industry, Gasum.
Gasum’s services ensure its clients have the best possible risk management model and guarantee the best possible electricity prices over the long term. For example, Gasum can manage the client’s electricity sales, sourcing, and production throughout the market chain. Gasum also offers clients support and sound energy market competencies, and access to their comprehensive market information and analyses.
Gasum Energy Market Services also play a key role in Gasum’s approach to cleaner energy. Besides helping clients to master the energy market, Gasum offers climate-friendly alternatives to oil-derived fuels and coal, subsequently helping clients to reduce their own carbon footprint.
