Thuraya signs Service Partner Agreement with Libya-based Altaqnya to launch Multi-Platform Products and Solutions

- Thuraya signs service partner agreement with local pioneer to service the Energy, Government, Maritime and Humanitarian Relief sectors in the State of Libya (Libya)
- The collaboration will allow both companies to provide customers with innovative products, solutions and enhanced capabilities
Thuraya Telecommunications Company, the mobile satellite services subsidiary of the UAE’s flagship satellite solutions provider, Al Yah Satellite Communications Company PJSC listed on the Abu Dhabi Securities ExchangeA announced a service agreement with Altaqnya, a leading data and communications technology firm, to launch Thuraya’s suite of innovative products and solutions to key customer segments in Libya.
The Thuraya-Altaqnya service agreement will target the Energy, Government, Maritime and Humanitarian Relief sectors within Libya with a product roll-out of three core categories encompassing Land Voice with XT-PRO and X5-Touch, Land Data with IP+ and IP Voyager, and Maritime with MarineStar. The agreement will enable Thuraya to establish its position as a leading satcom provider in the country and strengthen its key service offerings in the multi-platform Voice and Data businesses.
Highlighting the importance of the service agreement, Thuraya’s Executive Vice President of Sales, Muiz Saad said, “Libya is a priority market for Thuraya and the collaboration with Altaqnya will allow us to establish ourselves in the country as a leading satellite communications provider that delivers reliable, safe and rapid deployment of industry leading products, services and solutions. We look forward to leveraging the service agreement to further our reach and maximize growth in Libya and the wider continent.”
