Order for freezing plant to new MS Polarbris for Teknotherm

The Norwegian longliner company Atlantic Seafish AS is a well-established company in the Norwegian fishing industry, and operates the current brand new “Atlantic”, Norway’s largest and first combined line boat and danish seiner, for which Teknotherm had the pleasure to deliver the cargo freezing system to.

Ship owners Kjell-Gunnar Hoddevik and partners Johnny Årvik and Jan-Ove Langeland in the subsidiary company Polarbris AS have now ordered a new 43.5 m danish seiner from Karstensens Skibsværft A/S in Denmark. The vessel is their newbuild no. 473 and will be named “Polarbris”.

The ship owners have again chosen Teknotherm to deliver the cargo freezing system to their new Polarbris. It will be an ammonia refrigeration machinery with plate freezers, flake-ice makers and RSW cooling system. The cargo holds will be furnished with overhead air coolers for natural air circulation for storage of frozen and chilled product.

The vessel is scheduled for delivery from yard to owner in second half of 2023.
