Date and time confirmed for Inmarsat’s first I-6 satellite launch


Inmarsat, the world leader in global, mobile satellite communications, and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. announce that the exact date and time for the launch of Inmarsat’s first satellite in the Inmarsat-6 fleet (I-6 F1) by MHI’s H-IIA Launch Vehicle No. 45 (HIIA F45), will be as follows:

Launch Date: 22 December 2021
Launch Time: 14:33:52 p.m., Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) | 23:33:52 p.m., Japan Standard Time (JST)
Launch Window: 14:33:52 p.m. through 16:33:26 p.m., GMT |  23:33:52 p.m. through 01:33:26 a.m. (the next day), JST
Location: Yoshinobu Launch Complex at the JAXA Tanegashima Space Center, Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan

The launch had been originally scheduled for 21 December 2021, however, due to possibility of bad weather, the launch was postponed to 22 December 2021.
