Movember Cyprus’ specially created mobile barbershop visited the Limassol port last Thursday
DP World Limassol, in collaboration with P&O Maritime, held a shave down event at the Company’s premises at Limassol port on Thursday, 25 November, to mark Movember Cyprus and Men’s Health Awareness Month. Under this year’s tagline, ‘Changing the Face of Men’s Health’, Movember Cyprus aims to raise awareness as well as encourage men all over the island to get tested and seek mental health support.
The Man Van, the roving barbershop of Movember Cyprus, complete with a professional barber, visited the Company’s premises to offer employees a shave on the spot. The employees of DPWL and P&O Maritime embraced the event by shaving off their beards, while they were able to purchase licensed donation tickets to sponsor their moustache.
In statements as part of the event, DP World Limassol’s CEO, Mr Nawaf Abdulla pointed out: “At DP World Limassol we care very deeply about our employees’ health and wellbeing. Through this event we are hoping to encourage our male employees and the male population as a whole, to stop neglecting their health and go get tested.”
