Hutchison Ports Sohar signs an MOU with OMANTEL & HUAWEI for 5G POC study
In line with achieving the national logistics objectives of ‘Oman Vision 2040’, Hutchison Ports Sohar took a major step in the technology advancement, by signing an MoU with Omantel and Huawei for a 5G Proof of Concept (PoC) study, on 10 March 2021.
The PoC study will be demonstrated in two phases. Phase-I will cover 5G-based video surveillance + artificial intelligence (AI), while Phase-II is entitled to cover the handheld and push to talk devices.
