MOL PLUS to invest in Singapore-based Fund specialising in Ocean Shipping/Logistics

MOL PLUS, a corporate venture capital (CVC) fund firm wholly owned by Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. (MOL), today announced its intent to invest in the Motion Ventures Fund (Motion Ventures; General Partner: Michael Pomerleau/Nicklas Viby Fursund/Shaun Hon; Headquarters: Singapore), operated by Rainmaking.

Motion Ventures focuses on ocean shipping/logistics related domains, and invests in startup companies with innovative technologies that can contribute to decarbonization and digital transformation in ocean shipping/logistics.

MOL PLUS plans to use its investment in Motion Ventures to create synergy between startup companies’ innovative ideas and technologies and the MOL Group’s extensive resources, in turn creating new businesses that plus new value to the ocean shipping business and to society.
