Mintra strengthens Marketplace offering with Bureau Veritas Solutions Marine & Offshore partnership

Bureau Veritas Solutions Marine & Offshore, one of the most respected names in training for the maritime industry, has signed a partnership with digital learning provider Mintra to bolster access to its cutting edge sector education tools.

Through its BVS eAcademy, BV Solutions M&O is bringing a suite of 33 compliance and technical eLearning titles to Mintra’s digital trading space, Marketplace, where it can connect with more than 3,600 potential customers.

The courses added to Marketplace represent BV Solutions M&O’s 190 years of experience as a collaborative solutions provider to the marine and offshore energy industries, and participants who complete the online learning will be issued with a BV Solutions M&O certificate. Courses within the suite represent six training categories: Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering; Materials, Welding and NDT; Class and Statutory Surveys; Rules and Regulations; Shipping; and Cybersecurity.

Paul Shrieve, President BV Solutions M&O, said: “We are one of the leading training service providers dedicated to the maritime sector, and have a suite of training courses and eLearning modules developed and delivered by experienced trainers. We are excited to partner with Mintra, and look forward to adding our high level of technical knowledge and experience to complement the courses that are already on offer.

“BV Solutions M&O partnering with Mintra makes sense for both companies: we have the subject matter experts, and they have years of experience in developing digital learning and delivering to a large customer base. We look forward to working together to invest in training for the maritime industry.”

Mintra Trainingportal Marketplace manager Torbjørg Undem believes there will be significant customer demand for the type of high-quality eLearning provided by BV Solutions M&O. In addition to being a renowned training provider, the company is an entrepreneurial, collaborative solutions provider, providing technical advisory, asset management and assurance solutions for the marine and offshore energy markets.

“That demonstrable track record and expertise made BV Solutions M&O an extremely attractive partner for our Marketplace offering. We recognise the company as being a leader in its field with a high level of credibility,” she said.

“Our customers see the name and are automatically assured the eLearning they are purchasing is of a very high quality. Customers are also aware that BV Solutions M&O employs some of the industry’s foremost subject matter experts and they have applied their extensive knowledge to the creation of these learning modules. Customers can be assured courses are relevant and in accordance with current rules and regulations.

“Marketplace continues to go from strength to strength, with both buyers and sellers of training content recognising the benefits of this initiative. Although run by Mintra, the Marketplace is entirely agnostic and directly connects suppliers with over 3,600 customers using our Trainingportal learning and competence management system.

“That number increases to over 13,000 when taking account of the number of system administrators within our customer base using the platform to identify, purchase and assign training across their organisations. Marketplace gives them access to over 2,000 courses, with the whole process from purchase to course completion taking place in one platform to offer a streamlined solution.”
