Another seaside adventure with MSC Seashore

Building on a relationship that extends back nearly a decade, YSA Design has conceived and developed three spaces on board MSC Cruises’ MSC Seashore. The third vessel in the international cruise line’s pioneering Seaside class of passenger ships made her maiden voyage in August 2021.

Following its involvement in the design of MSC Seaside and Seaview, YSA Design completed a similar project for the latest vessel in the Seaside series, MSCSeashore – a high-tech cruise ship with an interior inspired by New York City.

The 339-metre eco-friendly passenger vessel features three spaces designed by YSA: a sports bar, a multi-storey water park and a kids’ club. Having also designed these spaces for Seaside and Seaview, YSA faced the task of updating the venues without straying too far from the formula that made previous iterations so popular with guests.

For the sports bar, YSA developed a 3D model to demonstrate how the venue could achieve the same characterful ambience with the addition of new features including a stylish billiards room and authentic sports memorabilia.

Meanwhile, the Norwegian company’s design of Pirates Cove delivers an interactive experience for adventurous children. As one of the largest water attractions at sea, the aquapark and adventure trail spans four decks and comprises several pools, swing bridges, slides and crow’s nests.

Finally, the kids’ club on deck 18 has a futuristic space and planetary exploration theme, with YSA’s focus on colour, creativity and technology transporting younger guests to a new dimension. As with previous children’s areas on board Seaside-class vessels, YSA conceived Seashore’s kids’ club with safety and hygiene in mind, meaning that all materials used are soft and easy to clean.
