Martyn Illingworth Head of Operations and Development

Human Rights at Sea is delighted to welcome Martyn Illingworth into the role of Head of Operations and Development. Martyn will lead on the implementation of our ambitious strategy, as we grow our organisation and our impact. He joins us from a background in management in the civil and public sectors where he has worked for NGOs, governments, and UN agencies.

Martyn says “I am delighted to be joining Human Rights at Sea. This is a fantastic organisation which is having a clear and demonstrable impact on a much neglected area. I am looking forward to seeing first hand the work that we do, and being a part of the organisations growth.”

Human Rights CEO, David Hammond says “After a very tough and competitive recruitment process, we are delighted to be welcoming such a high calibre person into the role of Head of Operations and Development. This will be a vitally important role in the next stage of the organisation’s growth, and we are very pleased that Martyn has joined us on our journey.”
