Wärtsilä appoints Teija Sarajärvi as Executive Vice President, Human Resources

Wärtsilä has appointed Teija Sarajärvi (52), M.A., as Executive Vice President, Human Resources and member of the Board of Management. Ms Sarajärvi will commence in her role no later than February 2022. She will succeed Ms Alid Dettke, who will take on new responsibilities at Wärtsilä. Ms Sarajärvi joins Wärtsilä from the packaging group Huhtamaki, where she has worked as EVP, Human Resources and Safety since 2015. Prior to that, she has successfully held key HR positions in OP Financial Group, Metso, and Nokia. Ms. Sarajärvi has extensive experience of leading global HR organisations and championing international transformation programs.
