• OneWeb launches RFI Gen2 Industry Day in association with ESA
• Gen2 Industry Day held on 23-24 September 2021, Harwell, UK. Registrations now open

OneWeb, the global communications network powered from space, will release its first Gen2 RFI and host an Industry Day in association with the European Space Agency on 23-24 September at the European Centre for Space Applications and Telecommunications (ECSAT).

OneWeb is actively seeking mission partners with which to verify the definition, requirements, and strategy for its next generation satellite constellation, known as Gen2, which will go into development in 2022. The RFI and industry day will enable early industry involvement and ensure that Gen2 is built for future customer-first satellite connectivity requirements.

Invitations to the Industry Day are open to companies of every size across the satellite industry, telco, ESA partners and agencies, as well as research organisations and academia. The industry day will include one-on-one meetings, workshops and Q&A on the RFI and process of involvement. Space is a global, shared resource and the RFI and Industry Day is part of OneWeb’s Innovation Programme to foster smart new innovations in space communications for the benefit of everyone on Earth – responsibly, sustainably, and together. OneWeb also recently announced the winners of its first Innovation Challenge. The winners will be invited to attend the Industry Day event.
