Gate terminal B.V., a joint venture of Vopak and Gasunie, is happy to welcome the first carbon-neutral cargo that arrived at Gate last month. It was brought jointly by TotalEnergies and OMV. We would like to congratulate OMV and TotalEnergies and compliment them on this transaction.

Increased sustainability of the whole LNG supply chain and the LNG product itself is an important objective that ranks high on the agenda. By using waste-heat, Gate already avoids burning gas – and hence CO2-emissions – during the regasification activity. But more can and needs to be done.  Together with our partners we will continue to take initiatives such as our recently announced and ISCC-certified bio-LNG activity to further reduce the impact of our activities.
