The First Batch of Anti-pandemic Supplies Donated by RCSC Arrives in Bangalore on May 9 with the Transportation Support from COSCO SHIPPING

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to spread in India, the Red Cross Society of China (RCSC) has decided to provide medical supplies to the Indian Red Cross Society through the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies to help India fight against the pandemic. The first batch of anti-pandemic supplies donated by the RCSC, including 100 Philips oxygen concentrators and 40 ventilators (including 20 RS300 Ventilator invasive ventilators and 20 BPAP system RXiBreeze non-invasive ones), took off from Chengdu on the morning of May 9 and arrived at the airport of Bangalore on the afternoon the same day. In order to carry forward the spirit of great love and support the international anti-pandemic cause, COSCO SHIPPING provided total transportation support for this foreign aid operation and donated all the transportation service fees. More anti-pandemic supplies, including negative pressure isolation ambulances, will soon arrive in India by sea.

Since 2017, COSCO SHIPPING Charity Foundation has provided transportation support to the RCSC for a total of 10 batches of foreign aid supplies. This year, under its new “Commonweal Shipping” campaign, the Foundation will continue to provide transportation support to Chinese philanthropic organizations in their foreign aid efforts.
