The Institute of Marine Engineering, Science & Technology (IMarEST), are hosting the 1st Global Conference for Seafarer Mental Health and Wellbeing on the 25-26th May 2021 online with remote participation worldwide. 

Seafarer mental health and well-being has been an area of concern well before the pandemic, with issues such as isolation, fatigue, and stress being commonly reported. The   crew-change crisis as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic still impacts both seafarers and their families.

Human Rights at Sea will be among the supporting organisations of this Conference that will bring together global leaders and key stakeholders from the maritime sector who are actively involved and have a keen interest in discussing practical solutions to improving seafarer mental health and wellbeing.

The focus will be on interventions and exploring best practice of implementation, monitoring results and identifying what more can be done.
