Offshore operator OMV adds Maress

The Norwegian branch of energy multinational OMV will be rolling out Yxney´s Maress solution. The Maress software enables OMV to get a detailed insight into the fuel consumption and emissions from the advanced offshore vessels chartered for seasonal work on the Norwegian Shelf.

“We are excited to get a chance to work with OMV, and provide data-driven solutions to underpin their sustainability efforts”, says Yxney CEO Gjord Simen Sanna.

OMV is the third energy operator to sign up as a Maress customer. International offshore major Equinor and national independent AkerBP are already active users of Maress. Both have implemented Maress to strengthen the collaboration with vessel owners/operators.

There is now a surge of energy companies announcing ambitious targets of net-zero scope 1 and 2 emissions in operations in the relatively near future. Correspondingly, at Yxney, we are seeing a rapidly growing international interest in solutions like Maress by energy companies looking to minimize the carbon intensity from offshore operations.
