Leading and global ship management company OSM Maritime renews with Cloud Provider Visolit

One of the worlds largest ship management companies, OSM Maritime, issued renewed confidence in Nordic Cloud Provider Visolit by entering a new 3-year contract, with a significant – undisclosed – value
-We are proud to be the preferred Cloud Partner of the global market leader in ship management. The agreement strengthens Visolit’s position in the market for Cloud solutions and in the shipping industry, says CEO of Visolit, Terje Mjøs.
OSM Maritime and shipowner KGJS recently entered a strategic agreement, where management of 37 KGJS ships were transferred to OSM Maritime. As part of the agreement, Visolit takes over the responsibility for IT-management and IT-operations on these ships, including administrative systems.
– Shipping is in the middle of a digital transformation, both in terms of business models and use of technology. Visolits Cloud expertise and industry knowledge enable us to further strenghten our innovation and development, says CEO of OMH Optimum Maritime Holding, Finn Amund Norbye.
In the new agreement, operational efficiency, innovation and security are main priorities, and Visolit will assist OSM Maritime on the Cloud journey. Visolit delivers a full range of Public and Private Managed Cloud services, including Public Cloud Assessment Readiness and Migration, Managed Azure Services and Servers, Managed Security as well as Visolit very own Security Operations Centre.
-Visolit provides industry relevant services, and it is important to us to remain close to our customers, both in terms of locations and partnerships. Our local presence covering large parts of Norway, and our competent staff and local presence in Arendal and Bergen are essential to our reinforced partnership. We look forward to helping OSM Maritime accelerate innovation through its journey to the Public Cloud over the coming years, says Mjøs.
Visolit already holds a strong position in the shipping industry, serving renowned global customers like Western Bulk, BW Offshore, Höegh and OSM Maritime. Visolit’s recent acquisition of the IT-company Innovasjon AS, further strengthens Visolit’s position and the Cloud offerings to the shipping industry and related businesses.
