Leading ship management company OSM Maritime launches OSM Chemical Tanker Management in Copenhagen, a fit for purpose structure dedicated to the technical management of chemical tankers with a focus on reliable and safe operations.
Establishing OSM Chemical Tankers in Copenhagen is a strategic business move for OSM to provide bespoke and unique technical management solutions in a well-known and expertise rich location for chemical tankers. We look forward to grow our presence in Copenhagen and welcoming new customers to our platform
– Tommy Olofsen, OSM CCO and President.
Copenhagen as a location is selected due to the physical proximity to ship owners, commercial and OSM technical management to enhance the performance and maintenance of chemical tankers.
Important shipping cluster
OSM Chemical Tanker Management is led by Steffen Tunge, an industry veteran within the chemical tanker management and he is joined with a strong and highly competent team in Copenhagen.
We have already taken over several chemical tankers and from conversations with our key customers and potential new ones we expect to grow the fleet to about 30 vessels over the next three years. Our Copenhagen office has already attracted excellent industry specialists and we look forward to welcoming more talents onboard.
– Tommy Olofsen.
OSM, as one of the worlds leading technical management companies within tanker management, is looking to establish the well known OSM quality operation in the shipping cluster of chemical tankers that Copenhagen represents.
Establishing a strategic technical vehicle in Copenhagen is an exciting new opportunity for IMO ii/iii chemical tanker owners and operators to choose a ship manager with an owners’ approach in Copenhagen.
– Tommy Olofsen.
OSM is today involved in management of more than 600 vessels. This is only made possible with a high-quality and competent crew pool which through their work onboard is closely connected with a shore fleet team support organization with deep competence.
Fuel efficiency tools
The global shipping industry is facing massive challenges when it comes to environmental solutions to the global operations of vessels. In line with this, OSM is taking active steps to support customers with fuel efficiency tools and reporting allowing for solid decision making. The team in Copenhagen will have a direct access to these initiatives and systems to drive this forward with OSM’s customers.
One of the initial and important customers to OSM Chemical Tankers is the Copenhagen based Navig8 Chemical Tankers.
