Employees of Rosneft-Nyaganneftegaz plant over 280,000 conifer seedlings in 2020

In 2020, employees of RN-Nyaganneftegaz (an enterprise of Rosneft Oil Company) planted over 280,000 seedlings of Siberian pine and Baltic pine as part of the reforestation programme. The trees were planted across 70 hectares in Oktyabrsky District of Yugra.

In order to achieve the best performance in environmental protection, defined in the Rosneft 2022 Strategy, the Company improves approaches to environmental management, increases the scale of environmental measures and the necessary investments.

Operations of Rosneft enterprises are aimed to minimise the impact on the environment. RN-Nyaganneftegaz’ reforestation programme associated with cedar plantations and forest crops is designed yearly, in cooperation with forestry units and the Oktyabrsky Forestry Department of Yugra.

The enterprise has made a significant contribution to the conservation and restoration of cedar forests in the autonomous area and has been awarded the honorary title of ‘Keeper of the Cedar Forests of Ugra’. Since 2010, RN-Nyaganneftegaz has planted over 1.5 million seedlings across more than 370 hectares of land.
