Wargaming launches internship program in Cyprus

Wargaming is proud to announce the launch of their newest educational program:

Wargaming Forge Cyprus, providing a unique 3-month internship prospect to a number of talented junior software engineers, delivering them the chance to gain practical knowledge from one of the gaming industry leader. Those who show promise during the online and offline internship will be offered a full-time job at the end.

The Wargaming Forge Cyprus allows the company to identify talent among students, college graduates, and young professionals – offering the opportunity to master their skills under the guidance of industry experts. The program’s curriculum contains a lot of practice and some theory, too – giving interns access to the rare information and expertise. Hand-picked mentors will share their knowledge through the analysis of real case studies and tasks which they faced developing Wargaming products.

To apply, a candidate must be either a final year student, university graduate or junior software engineer and must be eligible to work within the Cyprus Republic. Once oriented, the interns will have the chance to master their skills under the supervision of experienced mentors of the Rapid Prototyping Team, a team of 20 that was established in 2017 located in the Nicosia HQ office.

With a bespoke program tailored to the needs of each successful applicant – including mentorship from professionals in the fields of C++, Unreal Engine, Python, Machine Learning, and Algorithms – this is a chance not to be missed for budding software engineers!

We are exceptionally proud of the ability to offer Wargaming Forge program across a number of our locations, and to continue the tradition of free training in one of the most desired skillsets in the IT market,” says Marina Stasevich, Wargaming Forge Program Manager. “Over the past few years, around 92% of interns have been brought in through the Wargaming Forge Program – with many going on to earn full-time jobs with us around the world. We began with only four mentors, and now we have 120. So, we are excited to bring the project to our HQ in Nicosia. If you are looking for a challenging next step in your career in game development, make sure you apply!”
