Bawat to install BWMS onboard Panocean’s two heavy lift vessels Sunrise and Sunshine

Bawat is pleased to announce the signed contract with the Korean shipping company Panocean in regards to installing the Bawat onboard BWMS in two of their heavy lift vessels Sunrise and Sunshine
page1image36686272CEO at Bawat Marcus Hummer says, “Especially for Heavy Lift vessels ballast water operations are different compared to other commercial ships. A Heavy Lift vessel typically operates vast amounts of ballast water fast during cargo operation because of the need for submerging and stability of the vessel. Thus, this ship type has large ballast pumps as well. With the Bawat BWMS one-pass technology the BWMS is not sized according to the ballast pump size but the ballast water treatment requirements which are often a fraction of the pump capacity.

Marcus Hummer continues, “We are really looking forward to the cooperation with Pan Ocean and cannot wait to show them the benefits of using the one-pass Bawat BWMS onboard their Heavy Lift vessels both in regards to our one-pass solution, the simplicity compared to their other BWMS installed in their current fleet as well as showing crew how simple it is to maintain the Bawat BWMS with components already know to them”.
