California Marine Invasive Species Program – 2021 Submission of Reporting Forms

The California Marine Invasive Species Program (MISP) applies to vessels of 300GT and above, capable of carrying ballast water. The program, administered by the California State Lands Commission (SLC), aims to reduce the introduction of aquatic non-indigenous species into California’s waters. Additional information on the program is available on MISP’s website .

The SLC recently amended the submission requirements for the MISP Annual Vessel Reporting Form (AVRF). Effective 1 January, 2021, the AVRF will be required to be submitted through the web-based platform, MISP.IO, at least 24 hours prior to the vessel’s first arrival at a California port during each calendar year.
