EnBW awards offshore wind farm contract for project certification to Bureau Veritas

EnBW has awarded the contract in the EU-wide tender for project certification of the EnBW He Dreiht offshore wind farm to Bureau Veritas Industry Services GmbH. Bureau Veritas will thus be responsible for certification of the wind turbines and foundations in accordance with the requirements of the Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency (BSH) through all phases of the project. Certification is to be completed by the end of 2025 and will ensure safe and reliable operation of the wind farm for 25 years.

Tenders are currently still underway for the supply and installation of the turbines, for the service and maintenance agreement, the design of the foundations and for the inter-array cabling. Next year, EnBW will launch tenders for production as well as transport and installation of the foundations.

EnBW He Dreiht will be located in the North Sea, 90 km northwest of Borkum and about 110 km west of Heligoland. With a capacity of 900 MW, He Dreiht is one of the largest planned offshore wind power projects in Europe and is scheduled to go into operation in 2025.
