IB (ARRIBATEC Controlled): with INFOSHIP finalises agreement with Bottiglieri

A few days after the closure of the agreement which will bring it under the control of the Norwegian group Arribatec, the Italian company IB, leader in the design of automated systems on board ships and in the organization of all processes relating to fleet management, has acquired an important contract with an historical Italian Shipping group, the Neapolitan company Giuseppe Bottiglieri Shipping Company, which has 150 years of sea history.

The Bottiglieri group of Naples has in fact chosen InfoSHIP, the system designed and built by IB, for the digitization of all procurement management processes of its fleet: the goal of the agreement is the automation as well as the standardization of the purchasing cycle and warehouse functions, for all the operational units of the group.

“For me – underlines Giampiero Soncini, CEO of IB – the agreement with the Giuseppe Bottiglieri group is a reason for particular and personal satisfaction. I have known and worked with the Neapolitan shipping group since 1990 and today the relationship between this historic shipping company and IB is based not only on the contents and technical values of our software, but on an even more important common factor: the desire to strengthen and grow. In such a difficult and complex moment also for the maritime world, this contract is proof of trust and optimism for the future”.

InfoSHIP will be the tool by which the crews and the ground staff at the Naples head office will be able to work in cloud mode, ensuring synchronicity of data and information related to purchasing requests, budgets, warehouse and spare parts distribution; this will help to establish a 24-hour communication flow within the company.
