LQM launch alternative bunker fuels database

Leading hybrid bunker broker LQM has launched its new alternative bunker fuels database.

The ‘LQM Eco-Alternative Fuel’ (L.E.A.F) database – allows users to search 3,000 datapoints of global bunker supply options to discover which alternative fuels are available and where in the run up towards IMO 2030.

Available for free to LQM’s subscribers, the database also highlights the ports that have plans to provide alternative fuels in the coming years.

The LEAF database currently covers LNG, Biofuels and Biogas in all ports globally.  Methanol and Hydrogen options will be added before the end of 2020.

LQM will be releasing monthly updates to subscribers over the coming years.

“By 2030, carbon intensity in our industry must be reduced by at least 40 per cent. With IMO 2030 looming, LQM are committed to helping our clients navigate the alternative fuels landscape,” said LQM chief executive Daniel Rose.
