Cyprus Shipping Chamber – Vacancy Technical Officer

The Cyprus Shipping Chamber, the trade association of the Shipping Industry in Cyprus, seeks to employ with immediate effect a Technical Officer.
Main Duties:
The successful applicant will be working at the Chamber’s Secretariat in Limassol. He/She will act as the Technical Officer reporting to the Marine Manager and will mainly be responsible for:
Technical, Environmental, Safety and Security issues relating to ships
The organisation and co-ordination of the Chamber’s relevant Committees
Liaising with Governmental and other professional bodies
Qualifications / Requirements:
University Degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering or a 2nd or 3rd Engineer Officer Certificate, with previous experience in the technical department of a shipping company
Excellent written and spoken Greek and English
Computer highly literate and experienced in a network environment
Strong sense of professionalism, organisation and efficiency
Effective communication skills
Remuneration:
A very good remuneration package which includes 13th salary, life and medical insurance and provident fund, will be offered to the successful candidate.
