Oldendorff Carriers officially rolls out the electronic oil record book (ε-ORB)

In recent years, the necessary actions taken to improve the protection of the environment & life at sea have led to the introduction of stricter standards and regulations. The resulting framework has created new record keeping obligations, significantly increasing crew’s on-board workload and undermining operational efficiency.

Our priority of enhancing efficiency while assisting seafarers with the administrative burden and keep error-free up-to-date records, has taken us to initiate the conversion into a electronic oil record book (ε-ORB).

On 1st October 2020, we officially rolled out the ε-ORB on three vessels and within the next couple of months, the entire fleet will follow. This electronic enhancement ensures less administrative work for our seafarers, more transparency, traceability and a secure audit trail of all entries, paving so the way for the future electronic logbooks system in our entire fleet.
