The CMA CGM Group recruits Nicolas Sekkaki to lead its digital and technological transformation strategy


The CMA CGM Group, a world leader in shipping and logistics, announces the appointment of Nicolas Sekkaki as Executive Vice President IT, Digital & Transformation to accelerate the implementation of its digital and technological ambitions designed to serve its customers, its business activities and the industry’s energy transition.

Digitalisation is at the heart of the CMA CGM Group’s development strategy: a driver for growth, differentiation and performance. A number of initiatives have already been taken to give the Group’s customers access to the world’s most innovative technologies in fields of blockchain, artificial intelligence and the internet of things (IoT).

In order to accelerate the industry’s digital transformation, the CMA CGM Group is recruiting the world’s best experts in this sector. Nicolas Sekkaki, chairman of IBM France since 2015, has joined the CMA CGM Group to lead this strategy.

A dedicated team will be set up to assist him in his role.

Padmaraja Dipankar, currently Vice President of Intelligent Operations & Innovation at Accenture, has been appointed Group Chief Digital Officer. His mission will be to lead digital transformation projects and foster the Group’s partnerships with external companies ranging from start-ups to major digital groups.

With his track record and extensive experience within the Group, Michel Foulon will lead IT operations for the CMA CGM Group and its subsidiaries.
