Today in Naryan-Mar, LUKOIL President Vagit Alekperov and the acting Head of Nenets Autonomous District (NAO) Yuri Bezdudny have examined lighting and audio equipment installed on the central square of Naryan-Mar. The project is carried out within the framework of social partnership between LUKOIL and NAO administration.

Vagit Alekperov and Yuri Bezdudny also discussed the prospects for cooperation in the area of social and economic development of the region. Construction and renovation of public amenities, supply of new material and technical resources for publicly funded institutions, and support of indigenous small-numbered peoples of the North will all continue under the Cooperation Agreement between the Company and the administration of the region. Since 2007, LUKOIL has been concluding agreements on the social and economic development of agricultural production cooperative societies, which allow reindeer farms to buy equipment, fuel and housing. An outstanding event and a trademark of Nenets Autonomous District is Buran-Dei snowmobile races for the Artur Chilingarov (the Hero of the Soviet Union and the Hero of the Russian Federation) Cup.

Vagit Alekperov and Yuri Bezdudny also met with the staff of LUKOIL-Severneftegaz and bestowed upon its employees federal, republican and corporate awards for years-long dedicated labor and work achievements.
