Ardmore’s newest vessel named Ardmore Seafarer in recognition of international key workers at sea

Ardmore Shipping is pleased to announce its latest vessel in the Ardmore fleet is now in service.

The new vessel, a high-quality 2010 MR tanker, built in Onomichi, Japan, has been renamed the Ardmore Seafarer in recognition of our colleagues at sea and to honour all seafarers around the world for their dedication, professionalism and fortitude during these difficult times.

Anthony Gurnee, CEO of Ardmore Shipping, commented: “We are very pleased to add another vessel to our fleet. It is an Ardmore tradition to have a vessel dedicated to our seafarers, so naming our new vessel the Ardmore Seafarer seems entirely appropriate, particularly in this current climate. This name has been chosen in recognition of those who have been working tirelessly through these past few months, often without the credit and recognition they deserve. Our thanks go out to all those within Ardmore Shipping and throughout the entire shipping industry for their continued commitment and resilience.”
