Port of Duqm welcomes COSCO


It’s a proud moment for Port of Duqm to receive the first container of COSCO Shipping Line.

The shipment carrying Oil Skimmer equipment had arrived on a regular weekly feeder service operated by Oman Shipping lines. This is a significant milestone for the port as it welcomes the world’s fourth largest container carrier. With COSCO’s arrival, Port of Duqm is served by the Top 4 shipping lines that includes MSC,CMACGM and Hapag Lloyd apart from other carriers.

COSCO is an active main line operator in Middle east and West Asia serving many of the key ports as part of the The Ocean Alliance consortium, that includes CMACGM/APL, Evergreen, OOCL and COSCO. With Port of Duqm in COSCO’s network of ports, Shipper’s and Consignees from/to Far East, Europe and US have one more choice of a strong carrier group to choose from, for their Ocean transportation requirements.
