SMM 2021 video message from the Director of SMM

There’s more than a silver lining on the horizon. While the COVID-19 pandemic continues to affect the entire maritime industry, we’re receiving commitments from many players regarding the industry’s gathering in Hamburg in February 2021.

You know that we’ve postponed SMM to give you more planning security and offer utmost safety to all participants. In doing so, we’ve been very accommodating – in terms and conditions. This decision was strongly supported by our advisory board and key exhibitors. And it generated a wave of positive feedback from the industry. A vast majority of about 90% of the approved exhibitors of SMM 2020 will take part in 2021.

To make SMM 2021 a safe and successful event, we’re currently adapting our concept and aligning it with the local authorities as well as the health and security executives of main exhibitors. Even though there are still nearly eight months to go, we’re already looking forward to welcoming you from 2 – 5 February 2021 to the first global event of the maritime industry since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic.
