EUROGATE Intermodal appoints Christopher Beplat as a new managing director

Christopher Beplat (44) has been appointed as a new Managing Director for EUROGATE Intermodal (EGIM) alongside Lars Hedderich and Thomas Meyer. Having joined the company on 1 June 2020, Christopher Beplat assumes his role from Thomas Meyer, who will retire at the end of September. In the coming months, Christopher Beplat will work side-by-side Thomas Meyer to enable a smooth handover of the business areas of operations, controlling and procurement.

Christopher Beplat brings numerous years of managerial experience to this key position. Prior to his new role, he was Managing Director of Rhenus Inland Navigation Europe, NWL Norddeutsche Wasserweg Logistik GmbH and EGIM subsidiary Trimodal Logistik GmbH. He earned his MBA in Business Administration and Management from Newcastle University in England.

Thomas Meyer, Managing Director EGIM, comments: “Christopher is an experienced, competent leader who brings many years of experience in the transport industry. With him on board, we’re confident that EGIM’s management team will continue to successfully lead EGIM into the future.”

His industry knowledge and extensive experience in combined transport will be crucial to supporting the management of our operations and the growth of our service offerings, especially during these challenging times.”
