Eurogate – First import train from China arrives in Bremerhaven
The first block train from China arrived in Bremerhaven on Monday, April 13th. The container train started on March 30 in the Chinese city of Xi’an and went to Germany via Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus and Poland. RTSB GmbH operated the train in cooperation with the Belarusian state railway Belintertrans. The total transit time including handling, import and inspection was only 14 days.
The cooperation between RTSB and EUROGATE is based on a long-term cooperation that started with China traffic to Hamburg. The location in Bremerhaven offers the consignee a significant advantage because the logistics on site offer many options for handling and delivery to local end recipients or freight forwarders, for feeder deliveries to Northern and Eastern Europe and Scandinavia, but also intermodal solutions in German Inland and to Italy.
With the new Bremerhaven – Xi’an line, the existing intermodal network of the RTSB Group with hubs such as Duisburg and Hamburg will be further expanded.
