DFDS automates procurement processes with new SERTICA integration developed by MAN Energy Solutions and Logimatic

Logimatic and MAN Energy Solutions collaborate to standardize the exchange of RFQ and PO information between shipping companies and suppliers. A direct integration between the procurement module in SERTICA and the Sales Order System of MAN Energy Solutions eliminates retyping prices and other procurement information.
SERTICA Connect gives shipping companies access to communicate directly with several maritime suppliers. The direct integration enables the easy exchange of request for quotes, purchase orders and order confirmations.
Michael Paarup, COO at Logimatic Solutions explains, “Shipping companies benefit from receiving all information digitally. This saves all parties time and money. By receiving quotes directly in SERTICA, the shipping companies can easily compare prices to find the most attractive supplier.”
Harald Capek, Head of PrimeServ Diesel Processes & Analytics at MAN Energy Solutions states, “We are very happy to add SERTICA as an integration partner and cooperate in making the purchasing process faster and more digital. This is part of our digital strategy and high on the agenda of our customers.”
Rasmus Hansen, Head of Projects at Logimatic Solutions comments, “With the interface to SERTICA, MAN Energy Solutions can make all updates in their own ERP system – making the process totally automated. This means no more re-entering of information such as line items. In the end, both MAN Energy Solutions and their customers benefit from this digital transformation.”
One of these customers is DFDS, who is actively using SERTICA Connect. “We have been interested in finding a standardized and efficient solution to exchange RFQ and PO information with suppliers to ensure quicker responses, reduce the workload and minimize errors for both DFDS and our suppliers,” says Lene Kragkær Nilsson, Operational Procurement Manager at DFDS.
Rajeshwaran Kalaiselvan, Digital Procurement Manager at DFDS continues, “DFDS wanted to find a solution that would remove the need for a 3rd party technical solution managing the collaboration between DFDS and supplier. We have found this with the SERTICA Connect solution and we look forward to further improve the solution. Furthermore, we hope to see more shipping companies and suppliers use the solution to ensure everybody get the most out of the solution.”
Ingi Helgason, Senior Project Manager in Business Development and Digitalization at MAN Energy Solutions concludes, “We have enjoyed the cooperation with Logimatic, which has resulted in an important step toward more automated processes. With increased integration to SERTICA, we see that we have a true win-win situation for both customers and suppliers.”
