Australian Government has announced bans all cruise ships.
Delivering an update after the first meeting of the coronavirus National Cabinet, the prime minister said the measures would be adopted following an increase in community transmission of COVID-19.
In addition, all international cruise ships will no longer be allowed to dock at Australian ports.
“This is very important, what we’ve seen in recent weeks, is more countries having issues with the virus and that means the source of some of those transmissions are coming from more and more countries,” Mr Morrison said.
Authorities have confirmed there are now 250 cases of coronavirus across Australia.
Australian Government has announced effective as of 1400hrs AEST today, that all cruise ships originating from a foreign port will be refused entry to Australian Ports in a bid to contain coronavirus.
The ban is to last for 30 days.
