Abu Dhabi Maritime Academy Expands Academic Curriculum through Partnership with M.I.C.E. Global Singapore


  • Strategic alliance brings new advanced operation and risk management courses in-house

Abu Dhabi Maritime Academy has signed a strategic partnership agreement with M.I.C.E. Global Singapore to augment the academy’s current programme.

The agreement with M.I.C.E. Global Singapore, a specialist in professional marine training, is part of Abu Dhabi Maritime Academy’s commitment to providing world-class training and education in the maritime sector, not only for the UAE but also for the wider Arabian Gulf region.

Specifically, the agreement will see M.I.C.E. Global Singapore, as a strategic partner, provide its expertise to the students of the academy in competencies such as, marine pilotage, management and marine masterclasses and project risk analysis. The courses will be added to the list of the academy’s offerings of locally and internationally accredited courses by leading establishments including, UK Maritime & Coastguard Agency (MCA), UAE Federal Transport Authority (FTA), International Association Lighthouse Authorities (IALA), and Lloyd’s Register.

Captain Maktoum Al Houqani, Managing Director of Abu Dhabi Maritime Academy and Chief of Abu Dhabi Ports’ Corporate Authority commented:

Initially offering more than 20 courses, Abu Dhabi Maritime Academy expects to actively pursue strategic relationships with key global partners in order to expand and diversify its programme, and grow its position as a regional and international centre of excellence.
