Marianna Vardinoyannis awarded during Vassilopita pie cutting of the Consular Corps of Greece


On Monday, January 27, the Consular Corps of Greece (CCG) hosted its established New Year’s pie cutting at Zappeion’s Aigli.

About 110 people honored the body, ambassadors, consuls, businessmen of all sectors and politicians.

Ms Marianna Vardinoyannis was also awarded for her many years of work at ELPIDA and also as an UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador.

CCG President Harry Vafias announced further actions for 2020 and was very excited and moved awarding Mrs Vardinoyannis for her tireless work for children for many years.

“This Prize symbolizes the hope for a better world, a vision that all of us share, devoting our everyday efforts to the building of bridges of peace, friendship and understanding among our peoples and our cultures,” Ms Vardinoyannis said, delivering a speech, dedicating the award to children suffering of cancer.
