Position / Job Title: Purchasing Officer

Department: Catering

Reporting to: Purchasing Consultant

Location: MCTC Marine Ltd, Limassol, Cyprus

Minimum Qualifications:      

• Fluent in English (written and verbal)
• College Graduate
• Good communication skills
• Computer literacy
• Good analytical and data entry skills

He / She is responsible for:

• Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies, ensuring proper controls are met including budgetary approval, competitive bidding, debarment/suspension checks, code of conduct requirements.
• Evaluate vendor’s quotation to ensure that they are in line with the requested specifications
• Resolve supply, quality, service and invoicing issues with vendors
• Evaluate supplier performance based on quality standards, delivery time & best prices and ensure all the criteria are met according to the organizational requirements and expectation.
• To monitor the quality of victualling serviced delivered on board and ensure that these meet/exceed the clients and the Master’s expectations
