The Shipping Deputy Minister participated in the meeting of the Transport Ministers of the Arab League today in Alexandria and discussed issues of common interest between the Cypriot Shipping Deputy Ministry and the respective Ministries of the Arab States. As Ms Natasa Pilidou underlined “Shipping is an industry which makes a huge contribution to global cooperation, communication, to the enhancement of our standard of living, and very importantly, acts as the connector between many different and faraway parts of the world. It is our duty to safeguard this invaluable industry, while at the same time ensuring that we continue to strive for a cleaner, smarter, more sustainable shipping sector”.
