European Navigation regret to confirm that an incident occurred involving “ELKA ARISTOTLE” off Lome, Togo on 4 November 2019. This resulted in the kidnap of 4 crew members.
The company cannot comment in detail at the present time, except to say that the safety and security of our people is of paramount importance to them and are doing everything they can to ensure their prompt and safe release.
The vessel and remaining crew are safe.
The company is asking the media to respect both the sensitive nature of the situation and the privacy of the crew members’ families during this difficult time.
