During the Board of Directors Meeting, Capt. Eberhard Koch, OL Shipping Group & Mr. Prabhat Jha, MSC, were re-elected as a Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Board of Governors for the period of three next years.
It was decided to create an Executive Committee out of shipping partners who are taking part in the cadet funding plan. The Cyprus Maritime Academy opened its door in August 2016 and is doing extremely well, having today 57 cadets – mainly from Cyprus. All going well, the first cadets will join their shipping companies in June 2020 with their respective competencies and Bachelor Degrees in Nautical Science and Marine Engineering.
