
On 29th of October Mr. Andreas Chysostomou CEO of Marine Fields gave a presentation about “Port Call Sharing Platform” at Epsilon, Marina organised by Cyprus Marine Club. His presentation was focused on Port Call Data Sharing Platforms for, its need and significance focusing mainly on the significance of the Port Call Data Sharing Platform to shipping companies.

In particular how ships and ports can share time stamps to enhance situational awareness and achieve ‘Just in Time’. The presentation has further focus on the need of shipping companies to take advantage of the benefits of this kind of platforms especially in a time where everybody tries to improve efficiency and reduce emissions of any kind.
Finally the presentation also presented the benefits that ports can accrue for such platforms in particular on the fact that situational awareness will lead to competitive advantage in relation to operations within a specific ports or terminals
Marine Fields’ Port Call Data Sharing Platform call Perseus is currently operational and provides services to the industry and is further developing its capabilities further services directly related to shipping companies.

About Marine Fields
Marine Fields is an impartial company that was established in February 2017 in Limassol. It is manned by people with a long and established experience in the shipping industry, they are associate partners of STM Validation Project and have signed MoU agreements and collaboration contracts with global Industry leaders, governments and organizations. They are also participants of the International PortCDM Council. Their vision is to provide one interface for everyone to share time stamp data to each other; port actors to be connected to other port actors; and for ports and port actors to be connected to outside actors (shipping companies and other ports).

The Marine Club is further focused on creating collaborative opportunities for its members and member companies and makes meaningful contribution to organisations connected to the maritime industry overall and is committed to continuous improvement and promotion of the Cyprus maritime industry.
Whilst we are currently hosted at the beautiful Limassol Marina venue, “EPSILON” for our meetings, events and benefits with extraordinary views and environment, our target is to open our own fully fledged offices in Limassol.
