During his visit to Cyprus, the President of Ireland Mr. Michael D. Higgins met with Cyprus’s Shipping Deputy Minister, Natasa Pilidou and Larnaca Mayor Andreas Vyras, and had the chance to discuss plans to create the Cyprus Marine and Maritime Institute (CMMI), an independent, international, scientific and business centre of excellence, in collaboration with the Maritime Institute of Ireland.
