The Cyprus Shipping Chamber, as part of its continuous socio-economic contribution, donated to the “One Dream, One Wish” Charity Association, which provides assistance to the children suffering from cancer and related illnesses, the amount of €10,800, an amount raised from the proceeds of the “Beach Volley” Charity Tournament, which was organised by the Shipping Chamber with the participation of its Member-Companies in September 2019.
The Vice-President of the Cyprus Shipping Chamber, Mr. Dieter Rohdenburg presented the cheque to the President of the Association, Mr. George Penintaex during a small ceremony at the Chamber’s offices, on 16 October 2019, in Limassol. Mr. Penintaex expressed the Association’s sincere appreciation to the Cyprus Shipping Chamber for its continuous assistance for the past 15 years, supporting the children suffering from cancer and related illnesses by fulfilling desirable wishes and through the financing of their therapies.
The varied and longstanding socio-economic contribution of the Shipping Chamber, which celebrates this year 30 years since its establishment, proves the Shipping Industry’s tireless drive to contribute to the Cyprus Society, sending the message that, “Apart from Cargo and Passengers, Shipping also carries Messages of Social Solidarity and Support”.
