The Cyprus Minister of Energy participated in the Trilateral Meeting of the Ministers of Energy of Israel, Cyprus and Greece, in Jerusalem


The Cyprus Minister of Energy, Trade and Industry, Natasa Pilides, discussed the progress in the energy cooperation of Cyprus, Israel and Greece, among others regarding the electricity interconnection “EuroAsia Interconnector” and the work of the international organisation “East Mediterranean Gas Forum”, during the work of the Trilateral Meeting of the Ministers of Energy of Israel, Cyprus and Greece, which took place in Jerusalem on the morning of Monday, April 11, 2022.

As heads of technocratic delegations from the three countries, Ms. Natasa Pilides and Ms. Karine Elharrar and Mr. Costas Skrekas have also exchanged views on further strengthening and utilising the 3 + 1 cooperation scheme with the US.

After the Tripartite, Ms. Pilides and Ms. Elharrar participated in a bilateral meeting of the delegations of Cyprus and Israel, while the first meeting of the Working Group of Cyprus, Greece and Israel for the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding signed by the three countries for cooperation in connection with the “EuroAsia Interconnector” project took place on Monday afternoon.
