Ocean Infinity signs the Climate Pledge

What is The Climate Pledge?

The Climate Pledge is a call to organisations from around the globe to take collective action on one of the biggest problems currently facing our planet – the climate crisis. When a company signs The Climate Pledge, it is committing to becoming net zero carbon by 2040, which is ten years earlier than stated in the Paris Agreement. As part of this journey, signatories are obliged to carry out regular reporting of greenhouse emissions, implement decarbonisation strategies and take action to neutralise any remaining emissions through credible offsets.

The newest Climate Pledge signatory

The Climate Pledge was co-founded in 2019 by Amazon and Global Optimism. Since then, a growing list of major companies have joined, each one playing a critical role in stimulating investment in the development of low-carbon products and services.

We are proud to announce that Ocean Infinity is the latest organisation to sign The Climate Pledge, demonstrating our commitment to our goal of becoming net zero carbon by 2040. We believe that being net zero carbon is not about offsetting, but about prioritising the reduction of emissions and limiting any residual emissions that are not feasible to eliminate. To achieve this, we have already set ourselves key decarbonisation targets, such as having carbon neutral offices by 2023 and being carbon neutral at sea by 2027.

Environmental sustainability is at the heart of Ocean Infinity’s business. We are dedicated to creating greener solutions that protect our oceans and enable people and the planet to thrive. Signing The Climate Pledge will only further these values. We are proud to be taking a leadership position on climate change and are looking forward to working together with the 299 other signatories, who have also made this important commitment, in building a safe and healthy world for future generations.
