Island Oil (Holdings) makes Cyprus Shipping proud


The established award ceremony of the Cyprus Export Award took place on Friday, July 9, 2021, at the Presidential Palace, which this year concerned the export of products and services that took place in 2019.
The Awards, co-organised by the Ministry of Energy, Trade and Industry and the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI), were presented by the President of the Republic Mr. Nikos Anastasiades, thus rewarding the excellent effort of the Cypriot companies to increase their exports.
The companies that were awarded by category are:
A. Awards for Industrial Products
1. The Award for small industrial units, with staff of less than 50 people, was awarded to the company KARNIC POWERBOATS LTD.
2. The Award for industrial units with a staff of more than 50 people, was awarded to the company EPIPHANIOU SCRAP METALS LTD.
B. Award for Services
Awarded to ISLAND OIL (HOLDINGS) LTD.
In his speech President of the Republic Mr. Nikos Anastasiadis at the award ceremony of the Cyprus Export Award 2019 warmly congratulated all the winners and those who participated in the effort, to congratulate the wider business world that as a result of its own action and synergy with the state was able to overcome important crises faced by the Cypriot economy, while the prospects that are opening up – of course always taking into account the unpredictability of the pandemic – are, he believes, based on the data of the actions and results so far, significantly beneficial for what we Cyprus government is aiming for.
With regard to the “Export Services Award“ bestowed to Island Oil (Holdings) Ltd., President Anastasiades praised the company and mentioned: “I wish every success in your commendable efforts which substantially contributed in the overall efforts made in for a new restart of the Cypriot economy; I also wish every success in your business actions and visions that will have only a common benefit for our country as a whole.”
